Tank here. I am a four year old, handsome, medium sized lad. I have been with the Rescue Crew for a month now and I thought I should update everyone. I went to see the vet and besides having a little extra chunk in my trunk, I am in good shape. Foster mom is helping me become fit and trim. At the rate we are going, I may just make the cut to be the ‘June’ dog in the next calendar, or maybe May! I’ll talk to my agent

When I arrived at my foster home, I was nervous and scared.  You see my life had been turned upside down and I didn’t know what was going on.  I warmed up to my foster mom within a day or so,  she lets me sleep with her and spoils me .  My foster dad is okay,  I am slow to warm up to him and I still get caught off guard when he comes home or get startled by him and then I can’t help it and I bark at him.  Once I have been around him a bit and he gives me treats or my dinner I am just fine.

Foster mom here: Wanted to fill you in on Tank.  He is a sweetheart and is very smart.  He knows some commands, sit, wait/stay, maybe even more that he hasn’t told me about.

When I let him out on the tie out, he will sit for me when I am hooking him up to the lead.  He looks to me for guidance and really would do wonders with someone that can work with him on his self-confidence .

Tank loves toys. He has been going on short walks with me and thrives when I assure him that he is doing a great job. Sometimes, Tank will bark at people and dogs when passing, it’s mostly out of insecurity. Practice makes perfect as they say and we are well on our way.

Another favorite of Tank’s pastimes is to chase squirrels and bunnies, so if you have some pesky critters in your backyard, you have found the right guy to keep your yard free of nuisances!
