I'm Nas, a friendly and very handsome Turkish Van kitty. I'm a rare breed that dates back to ancient times and you'd be lucky to share a home with such a beloved and treasured furry friend as I am.  I'm a playful, energetic and loyal companion. I have a wonderfully soft coat that feels like cashmere.  It's even said that my breed enjoys water. My foster family hasn't tested that theory out yet, but there's a good chance that I may like to take a dip in your bathtub.  My shiny coat is all white on my body, with orange coloring on my face and a beautiful 3/4 long orange brushy squirrel-like tail. I also have a thumb print of orange on my back. I'm an energetic and playful boy, and can be talkative at times - particularly when I feel I'm being ignored. I'm a fun-loving guy who enjoys lots of attention from my family. I'm a great jumper and climber, so I'd like a home with one or more cat trees and places to run, play and explore because I like to see everything going on in my world. I'm good with dogs, and cats and little humans too, but I might do better with older more considerate kids.  While I love being held and petted, and even enjoy getting my belly rubbed, I enjoy this affection on my own terms. I'm a loving cat, but am only so tolerant of people tugging on my tails or trying to pet me when I'm not feeling in the mood. I'm lively and social and, not to be brad...very intelligent to boot I require regular exercise and playtime to thrive.  Does that sound like a home environment you'd like to provide for me?

Note from The Rescue Crew Staff: During a routine exam in mid-January Nas was noted to have a heart murmur. heart murmurs are caused by turbulent blood flow in the heart or adjacent vessel, and have many possible causes. Some younger cats outgrow this condition and others live normal life spans without ever developing any signs of heart failure. Nas has not shown any signs of heart disease.

The adoption fee covers the cost of the animal's spay/neuter surgery, microchipping, FIV/FeLK testing (for cats) or Heartworm Testing (for dogs), deworming and all core age appropriate vaccinations.  For the most complete information regarding this animal, and all of our adoptable pets, please ensure you are visiting our website directly at www.RescueCrew.org.  You can also access the necessary online adoption application here as well. Thank you.
