Norman ” Male/Neutered, Pug/Boston Terrier, 1 ½ years old.  Norman  came to us as an owner surrender. His owner had gotten him for her niece, but the niece was unable to keep him due to personal problems. She then took  Norman  back to try and find him a new home. She already had two small dogs and a cat of her own and believed she wouldn’t be able to provide the care  Norman  needed. When  Norman  came in he was very shy and did not want anyone to approach him. He would growl and try to get as far away from you as possible. We have been working with him by bringing him up front to our office away from the other dogs, and he has gotten much better with most of the staff. It takes him quite a while to warm up to someone to where he gets excited to see you and wants to jump up on your lap. There is one staff member in particular that  Norman has really warmed up to. He gets super excited to see her and will jump up asking for pets. He will let her pet him at any time and she has also been able to pick him up and hold him. He will allow pets from the other staff; however, he always appears tense. The way to  Norman ’s heart is to take him outside for a walk. He seems much more comfortable when he is outside.  Norman  is up to date on Rabies, Distemper & Lyme vaccinations

The adoption fee covers the cost of the animal's spay/neuter surgery, microchipping, FIV/FeLK testing (for cats) or Heartworm Testing (for dogs), deworming and all core age appropriate vaccinations.  For the most complete information regarding this animal, and all of our adoptable pets, please ensure you are visiting our website directly at www.RescueCrew.org.  You can also access the necessary online adoption application here as well. Thank you.
