Lady is a sweet and loving 7-year-old, 40-pound Terrier/Hound mix ready to meet
her own Jim Dear or Anita Darling. Lady is happy to spend her time chewing on stuffed toys, tugging on ropes, or chasing tennis balls around the yard. She keeps in shape through a rousing game of chase with her own Jock and Trusty foster siblings, doing well with dogs big and
small. After a good athletic session, Lady will hunker down with a marrowbone
before leaning into her human for pets, and gently nudging their hand if they stop
the pets too soon.

Lady likely started her life out more like Tramp, living outdoors more than in. She has been taking to housetraining well when let out on a regular schedule. However, the leash is an entirely new experience for her, as are going on walks, so her forever home will need to have patience and determination to work with her on leash training. Her earlier stray life has led her to be cautious when first meeting people, but all it takes is a combination of patience, soft pets, and kind words to win this girl’s heart.

Lady does well with other canines as siblings or neighbors; however, she could also be happy being your one and only. She has not yet encountered Si, Am, or any other feline, nor has she been around young children, so we are unsure if those pairings would lead to a scramble or a synergy.
