Are you looking for a cute little guy that will welcome you with open arms when you come home? Meet Little Rocky. He will literally stand on his hind legs and welcome you with open arms when he sees you. It's as if he's asking for hug and is so happy to see you. Rocky is a pretty easy going guy once you get to know him, but he's been abandoned at least once in his life that we are aware of, so it's important that you be patient and understanding with him. He needs to feel safe and at home before he will open up and offer his heart to you. But, once he does he is a committed friend that will always be by your side. Rocky will carve out his spot on your bed and be with you nightly as a protector. He does well with other dogs and cats, but larger dogs make him a bit nervous at first until he gets to know them. Rocky does well in the home and doesn't destroy things he's not supposed to. This is a good thing given he is not a fan of a crate. The little guy has some abandonment issues, so being in a crate and knowing your not there he gets nervous and vocal, but will do fine left out of his crate. He is 80% or more of the way with relearning his potty training - he just needs a bit more consistency and help. The little guy is a sensitive soul and would do best in a more routine, calm home. If their are children, he'd prefer they be older and considerate - not the unpredictable and rambunctious sort as he prefer his domain to be predictable and in order. He is willing to share his human(s) with other furry friends, but when it's his time for one-on-one attention he may give a low growl if someone else is trying to move in on his turf. But he's equally respectful when it's someone else's turn for love and affection. Once he's acclimated and knows he's home, he'll show his goofy and happy self by rolling on his back and chasing his furry friends or snuggling up with his human(s) for some cuddly nap time and belly rubs.
Completion of an Adoption Application via our website (www.RescueCrew.org) is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is the first step in the adoption process.
All companion animals adopted by The Rescue Crew are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLK (cats) or heartworm (dogs), microchipped, dewormed and provided with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives.
The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a physical location where you can stop by to visit the animals - we require the completion of an Adoption Application prior to meeting any of our adoptable pets in foster care.
For the most complete information regarding this animal, and all of our adoptable pets, please ensure you are visiting our website directly at www.RescueCrew.org. You can also access the necessary online adoption application here as well.
