Hi, my name is Winter because I’m a survivor of winter’s brutal blizzards. I was born on the Pine Ridge Reservation where I fended for myself outside. It turns out, living through blizzards and below freezing temperatures is not so great without shelter and I would have died for sure this winter… except some amazing humans came and saved me! I was so exhausted that they had to pull me out on a sled to get me to the rescue vehicle. But then… everything changed.

Today I am living a good life with five other dogs who I LOVE to play with. I’m a smart  girl who spells better than most people. I know because foster mom likes to use secret codes when she is trying to surprise me with the most amazing things (FOOD).

I know it was people who gave me a second chance at life. I will love and adore the people in my life, especially the teenagers in my foster home. At night, I want to hold hands and cuddle (I call big spoon!) and I take cuddling very seriously!

I am completely loyal to my human. One time, my foster mom got sick and I was so worried. I refused to leave her side and supervised everything to make sure she was okay. If you would like me to be yours, I promise to do the same for you. I will hold your hand, pay attention to your moods, meet your needs, and always stick by your side. We can save each other… if you’ll have me.

Completion of an Adoption Application via our website (www.RescueCrew.org) is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is the first step in the adoption process.

All companion animals adopted by The Rescue Crew are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLK (cats) or heartworm (dogs), microchipped, dewormed and provided with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives.

The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a physical location where you can stop by to visit the animals - we require the completion of an Adoption Application prior to meeting any of our adoptable pets in foster care.

For the most complete information regarding this animal, and all of our adoptable pets, please ensure you are visiting our website directly at www.RescueCrew.org. You can also access the necessary online adoption application here as well.
