Ever since he was old enough to wag, Hickory would wag wildly, waddle over and smother you with kisses the minute he saw you. I don’t think I’ve ever met a puppy who just exuded so much happiness at such a young age. He is a happy-go-lucky, sweet, fluffy boy who just LOVES people and to be loved and snuggled. He plays with his brother with gusto and gives him a run for his money, even though he’s a bit smaller. He gets fierce with his siblings when he needs to and can hold his own. But he is more gentle by nature than his brother and is kinder in his play, often stopping to lick them affectionately. He is more patient than his sister and forgives quickly. He is curious and brave and loves new things. He loves everyone and believes everyone will love him back and treat him as kindly as he treats them. His signature wag, waddle (now more of a prance) and wild kisses when he sees his people is heart-melting. He is not intimidated by his bigger foster uncles and tries to kiss and engage the larger dogs in play. He is large for his age and will be a big boy himself someday! He’s been around a cat and shows cautious interest and appropriate respect. He is just a puppy so will need help learning how to go potty outside, walk on a leash, love his crate and other basic training. Hickory is a gem who will thrive in a home who will give him tons of new adventures and ALL the love – and he will return it abundantly.
Completion of an Adoption Application via our website (www.RescueCrew.org) is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is the first step in the adoption process.
All companion animals adopted by The Rescue Crew are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLK (cats) or heartworm (dogs), microchipped, dewormed and provided with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives.
The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a physical location where you can stop by to visit the animals - we require the completion of an Adoption Application prior to meeting any of our adoptable pets in foster care.
For the most complete information regarding this animal, and all of our adoptable pets, please ensure you are visiting our website directly at www.RescueCrew.org. You can also access the necessary online adoption application here as well.
